PBS Call The Midwife fans name shows 'worst couple ever' and accuse them of having absolutely zero c
Call The Midwife fans have named the show’s ‘worst couple ever’ with absolutely zero chemistry. Nurse Jenny Lee, one of the main characters in series one to three, dated several men during her stint on the hospital drama.
She had an affair with a man called Gerald, and we were also introduced to Jimmy, her former love interest, in the show, which is currently airing in the USA on PBS.

It was through Jimmy that she met Alec Jesmond. The pair quickly began a romance with Alec professing his love for Jenny not long after they got together. But sadly it was doomed as Alec fell to his death through an old staircase at his office.
Viewers re-watching series three have slammed the former couple for their lack of chemistry with some saying they were the show’s worst ever pairing.
In a forum on Reddit, one wrote about Alec: “Obviously what happened to him is very tragic, but did anyone else feel there never really was much chemistry between him and Jenny?”
“Yes, felt that she liked him more after he died. Before she wasn’t fussed about him” a second agreed. A third said: “Yeah he’s definitely one of the least believable, and Jenny is very prissy and cold with him at times.”
A fourth commented: “That’s basically because Shelagh and Dr. Turner have taken all the chemistry. “Good God that one scene where they were dancing together. So forced, zero chemistry, awful dialogue", penned a fifth.
A sixth replied: “It seems like she was trying to force herself to move on and date like other women her age are doing but not really having her heart in it.”
